The North Forsyth
Structural Systems
Class visits and
volunteers at
Habitat for Humanity
each semester.
Students examine
newly built houses
and observe several
design concepts that
we previously
study in class.
Habitat for Humanity
Volunteer Director,
Sherry Flynn guides
the students through
the houses and
discuss several new
construction
industry processes,
trends and
materials. It is
indeed an excellent learning
experience. Students
ages 16 or older
volunteer during
this field trip and
gain immeasurable
construction
industry knowledge.
They are afforded an
opportunity to gain
hands-on experience
under the direction
of the Habitat for
Humanity
Superintendent
and/or General
Contactor.
Technology Education
broadens our
knowledgebase in
many technological industries.
Below are a few of
the pictures from a
Habitat for Humanity
site, Construction
Career Day and Nascar
